Why Moorestown, NJ Should Be on Every Luxury Buyer's Radar
Blog post description.
I have been showing homes in this region for years and Moorestown still surprises buyers who come in with low expectations. They drive in thinking suburb and leave wanting to write an offer. That reaction is not an accident. Moorestown has earned it.
The town has everything that makes a community actually work: a real walkable main street with independent businesses, exceptional public schools, a genuine sense of civic identity, and a location that puts Center City Philadelphia about fifteen minutes away on a normal traffic day. These things do not all appear in the same place very often.
The historic district is worth a specific mention. The Victorian and Colonial Revival architecture along the older streets is among the finest in South Jersey. These are homes that have been cared for over generations, and it shows. Buyers who have been looking on the Main Line will find the architecture familiar but the price point noticeably more accessible.
Move slightly out from the town center and you are in custom built estate territory. Properties on generous lots with newer construction and every modern finish. At the $800K to $2M range, Moorestown consistently delivers more square footage and more land than comparable budgets get you across the river in Pennsylvania. The math usually surprises people who have not done the comparison.
There is also a practical quality of life argument to make here. The 295 corridor and Route 38 make commuting manageable. Major employment centers in Camden County, Cherry Hill and Mount Laurel are essentially next door. And if you are working remotely even part of the time, the calculus shifts even further in Moorestown's favor.
If this town is not already on your list, add it before your next round of showings.
